A Survey on Indoor Structures of Houses concerning the Briquet Coal Gas Contamination

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was performed to survey the distribution of indoor structures of houses and rooms concerning the indoor air contamination by briquette coal gas by questionnaire-method given to 5,050 middle school 1st, 2nd year girls.
The results performed on reliable answers from 1,929 respondents were as follows;
1. The utilization rate of briquette coal for room-heating fuel was 90% by house and 93% by rooms.
2. The distribution rate of rooms with the highest risk(Safety class 5) among 5,479 briquette-heating "Ondol" rooms was 16% and that of rooms with high risk(Safety class 3,4) was 57%.
3. The distribution rates of the safety rooms(Safety class 1,2) of Western (20%), Northern (18%) district were lower than Eastern(23%) district inspite of higher distribution rate of modern-style houses of Western(68 % ), Northern (71%) than Eastern(59%) district.
